The New York Central System Historical Society has a wealth of information on the New York Central System. Nickel Plate Road Historical and Technical Society
The Nickel Plate Road served the same area as the New York Central. I have always liked the Nickel Plate and traveled between Cleveland and Chicago. I took the New York Central to New York as the Nickel Plate connected with the Lackawanna in Buffalo and went to Hoboken, NJ. I would have had to take the ferry to New York. Missouri Pacific HIstorical Society
Living in Austin, Texas and going to school in Kingsville, Texas the Missouri Pacific was a big part of my live. We also have a Missouri Pacific caboose that we hope to restore some day. They had their 2019 convention in Austin and is a great society with a great publication. http://www.mopac.org/
